Castaway Nantucket Island is the creation of Andrew and Matt Bridier, two brothers with a keen understanding of the coastal lifestyle and associated attire. The Bridier brothers are fourth generation haberdashers that grew up working summers and weekends at Murray's Toggery Shop, founded by their great-grandfather on Nantucket Island in 1945. Their grandfather named and trademarked the shop’s distinctive sailcloth pants, Nantucket Reds. In 2005, Andrew and Matt created Castaway - a line of well-made, colorfully embroidered shorts and pants, updated for today's coastal lifestyle. By the fall of 2013, Castaway opened their first storefront in Naples. Though they’ve lived and worked in different places over the years, the Bridier brothers keep coming back to Nantucket and their family's tradition of timeless fashion. Now with several seasons behind the brand, the line of children's, men's and women's clothing includes shorts, dresses, shirts, blazers, pants, belts and more. Castaway is in no short supply of creativity, offering dozens of patterns for their embroidery, from black labs to Christmas lights and everything in between. Their embroidery can be found on men's shorts, shirts, blazers and pants, as well as women's shorts, shirts and skirts. They aren't limited to embroidered goods either - Castaway offers fleece pullovers and flannel pajamas for the cooler months, and plaid shirts for the fall. From Nantucket to Naples, they have you covered no matter what the weather. With Castaway Nantucket Island, the Bridier brothers bring Nantucket’s authentic lifestyle into the 21st century. The Bridier brothers created a company with sea, sport, friends and family in mind, and it shows. Their products are perfectly crafted for any occasion or season. Whether you are hauling lines on deck or at rehearsal dinner with your closest friends, Castaway Nantucket Island fits you.
