Michigan State University (MSU) is the largest of Michigan's 15 public universities. It sits on the banks of the Red Cedar River in East Lansing, Michigan. With over 49,000 students, a 5,200 acre campus, and close to 700 buildings, MSU is a small city unto itself. The school also has the largest study abroad program in the country. The MSU Spartans compete in NCAA Division I athletics as a member of the Big Ten Conference.
