Alpha Delta Pi was founded on May 15, 1851 at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. It is known for being the first secret society for college women at Wesleyan Female College, the society was founded on the principles of scholarship, leadership, service to others and sisterhood. The motto is " We live for each other". Notable alumnae include: Nancy Grace (CNN host), Sandra Palmer (professional golfer) and Kate Capshaw (actress).
