Fornash, Inc. began eleven years ago in the mind of designer Stephanie Fornash Kennedy. Stephanie studied graphic design and marketing at Virginia Tech – she has a passion for style and an eye for design. While art was a regular hobby of hers during her college years, she became more serious about her hobby when she investigated designing handbags in the fall of 2001. That winter, Stephanie took an extended vacation in the Caribbean where the bright colors and tropical-themed boutiques inspired her initial designs. In the fall of 2002 Stephanie opened a retail location in Washington, DC in the shopping district of Georgetown. Her new store focused on customization, as well as personalization, allowing customers to design custom handbags of their very own. The concept has been well received and her handbags are definitely adding color and sophistication to the fashion scene of Washington, DC. The business continued to grow and expand as she entered the wholesale business in 2003. Stephanie introduced her collection to retail buyers in August of 2003, at Accessories The Show in New York, and made her second appearance in January of 2004 at the Atlanta Gift Show. The shows were a success and you will now see Fornash designs in high end boutiques across the country. Fornash, Inc. continues to expand each year, currently selling products in all corners of the United States as well as Bermuda, the Caribbean, and even Japan. With its increasing clientele, Fornash, Inc. has expanded their product line from handbags to now including clothing, jewelry, and various accessories.
